Doug Gemmel

Doug Gemmel is a 40-year resident of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Teton Valley, Idaho. He started his hospitality career with Resorts International Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. As a 23-year-old, he was the night manager of the hotel division. He followed his love of the lifestyle that the Rocky Mountain West offered and relocated to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He held numerous management positions for leading hotel groups. In 1986, he founded RMI, a marketing cooperative firm. In 1988, he established Rocky Mountain Reservations, an inbound tour operator and retail travel agency in which he negotiated bulk airline contracts with legacy carriers and established a marketing relationship with the National Parks and local vendors. In 2001, Mr. Gemmel relocated to Teton Valley,

Idaho and went to work for PC Development and was instrumental in the development of Teton Springs as well as River Rim Ranch. Mr. Gemmel sits on the board of the Teton Springs Foundation as well as Teton Valley Aquatics. Board member and chair of Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit while in Jackson Hole. Mr. Gemmel holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Delaware.
